AEW fulfilled its promise of a surprise signing at Full Gear 2023, revealing none other than Will Ospreay. He has finally finished all of his prior commitments and is expected to join AEW in the near future. However, Ospreay will have to endure a very hectic travel schedule as he will not relocate to the USA.

Will Ospreay’s AEW contract provides him with unique flexibility. Ospreay stated that his decision to join AEW aligns well with his current circumstances. His deal with AEW also includes return to NJPW in the future.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Will Ospreay is expected to return to NJPW at some point. However, for this year, Ospreay will be focusing on AEW.

Due to his living in England and frequent travels to the United States, Meltzer noted that Will Ospreay has expressed a preference to stay with AEW for the time being and not explore other options this year.

”He will go back to NJPW at some point, but right now for this year he’s gonna concentrate on AEW. Because he’s gonna be living in England and flying to The United States all the time. So, he doesn’t really wanna go anywhere else this year.”

Will Ospreay also had his final NJPW match for the time being at New Beginning in Osaka. We have also reported Will Ospreay’s status for AEW Revolution. We will have to wait and see how Will Ospreay will fare in AEW, as it is likely he will be a massive star.
