Will Ospreay made a name for himself in NJPW, a place he called him for many years. He signed deal with AEW and will be going back to the company full-time. Before that, Ospreay had one last match left in NJPW at New Beginning in Osaka. Following the match’s conclusion, Ospreay big goodbye to NJPW for now.

At the New Beginning in Osaka’s main event, United Empire (Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb, HENARE, TJP & Francesco Akira) squared off against Bullet Club War Dogs (David Finlay, Alex Coughlin, Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) in a Dog Pound Cage Match.

It was truly a brutal and bloody affair with all kinds of carnage one would expect from a steel cage bout. When all was said and done, The Bullet Club ended up beating The United Empire and decimated Will Ospreay afterwards.

Following the match’ Will Ospreay cut an emotional promo to the crowd, as he bid farewell to NJPW and its fans for the time being. He urged fans not to forget him in the meantime.

“I swear to god, I promise, I will come back one day. Please do not forget me cause I will never forget any of you guys. I love you guys so much.”

Will Ospreay even got special tattoo just before his NJPW departure. Ospreay admitted he didn’t expect he would leave NJPW either. We will have to wait and see how Ospreay will be booked in AEW once he becomes a full-time star there.
