WWE is known to attract some of the brightest talents from all around the globe. This week before WWE NXT rolled on our television screens, a popular wrestler from the independent circuit made their WWE in-ring debut. That someone was Je’Von Evans and it appears WWE officials are high on him after his debut.

Je’Von Evans, formerly known as Jay Malachi in other promotions, became part of the global juggernaut at the start of 2024. He joined alongside prospects such as Brogan Finlay and Wren Sinclair.

Evans faced off against Brooks Jensen before the recording of the February 6th edition of the black and gold brand aired on television. This match will likely be featured in a future episode of NXT Level Up.

According to Sean Ross Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, the match has received a positive reception and Je’Von Evans has “impressed officials,” which is definitely a big deal for the young star.
