Samantha Irvin spent the majority of her run in WWE as part of NXT before being called up to the main roster and she truly honed her craft since then, especially due to her special instructions. She also announced more matches than normal at the Royal Rumble and there’s a reason for that.
The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event took place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, providing a memorable night of action. Cody Rhodes and Bayley emerged as the winners in their respective Royal Rumble matches.
Fans also noticed that Samantha Irvin was announcing more than usual at the Royal Rumble. According to Sean Ross Sap behind Fightful’s paywall, it was reported that Mike Rome lost his voice, which is why Samantha Irvin announced the whole show instead.
‘‘Mike Rome lost his voice, per Corey Brennan. Samantha Irvin is doing the whole show.”
There was also a spot during Roman Reigns’ Undisputed Universal Title match, where Solo Sikoa went flying through the barricade and it appeared as if he hit her leg. It was reported that Irvin was doing okay after the spot.

The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event also set new attendance record, making it clear just how special the show truly was. We will have to wait and see whether the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event on February 24th will be able to top this event.
