Cody Rhodes Honors The Elite in Epic Fashion After 2024 WWE Royal Rumble Win

Cody Rhodes might be a huge WWE Superstar right now but that doesn’t mean he forgot his roots, especially during his time with The Elite. In fact, he paid tribute to The Elite after his Royal Rumble win.

The American Nightmare entered last night’s Men’s Royal Rumble match with a determined spirit, eliminating top stars including Gunther and eventually CM Punk to secure his spot at WrestleMania 40.

Following his win, Cody Rhodes constantly stared at Roman Reigns, who was in a press box watching the match. It was made evident that the two will have a rematch at WrestleMania 40.

Rhodes paid homage to The Elite, specifically Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, by incorporating their signature gestures, namely the too-sweet hand gesture and Kenny Omega’s gun gesture right after his epic win.

Cody Rhodes also apologized to fans following his epic win at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. We’ll have to see whether The American Nightmare will finally be able to topple Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 and finish the story.
