Cody Rhodes has just one goal in mind and that’s to finish the story and become the World Champion at WrestleMania 40. To make that a reality, Rhodes was determined to win the Royal Rumble. He finally accomplished that and then decided to cut an emotional promo after the show went off the air.

The American Nightmare entered the Men’s Royal Rumble match last night with a lot of hope and determination to prevail. He would end up eliminating top stars such as Gunther and finally CM Punk in order to punch his ticket to WrestleMania 40.

Expressing gratitude for making the Tampa Bay area ‘Cody territory,’ Rhodes assured fans that things will be different at WrestleMania 40 and thanked them for an amazing show.

Rhodes acknowledged the significance of Dusty territory in Tampa and St. Pete, expressing love for the fans and promising to see them next time.
