The road to WrestleMania 40 is ready to kick off this Saturday with the annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view and there might be a possible spoiler for the show that connects to a long-rumored championship bout at The Show of Shows.

The Royal Rumble event would feature two 30-person name-sake over-the-top-rope matches for both the Men and Women’s rosters. The winners of their respective bouts will earn a World championship opportunity at WrestleMania 40.

With much speculation surrounding those title matches, Dave Meltzer stated in the latest  Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the highly anticipated title match between Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch, which has been booked for months is still on schedule.

If the reports are indeed accurate, that would make Becky Lynch a hot favorite to be the winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble match this Saturday. Moreover, the win would also make The Man a two-time Rumble winner.

However, the only match, which has been planned for months and was still on the schedule is Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch for the world women’s title, which makes Lynch a Rumble favorite.

Lynch and Ripley have been encountering each other in face-to-face confrontations on Monday Night RAW in recent weeks. So there is a high possibility of the mega showdown between The Man and Mami for the WWE Women’s World Championship at the Grandest Stage of them all.
