Kofi Kingston Set To Make 16th WWE Royal Rumble Appearance

The Royal Rumble is set to take place this Saturday from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. This Premium Live Event is one of WWE’s big four events of the year and will kickstart the Road to WrestleMania.

Like every year, this year’s Royal Rumble will be headlined by the men’s Royal Rumble match. Several Superstars such as Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Bobby Lashley have already declared themselves for the Rumble.

WWE has now confirmed that Kofi Kingston will also be a part of the Royal Rumble match. This will be Kingston’s 16th Rumble appearance putting him in second place for most Rumble appearances behind Kane.

It will be a busy week for Kingston who will challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship on the RAW following the Royal Rumble. The New Day has been involved in a heated rivalry with Imperium for the past weeks. This feud has seen both teams brutally assault each other this week on RAW that ended when New Day drove Imperium through a table.
