AEW has been the landscape of some of the most remarkable female talent in the wrestling industry. Moreover, Tony Khan’s granting its athletes the freedom to wrestle for other promotions has been enthralling for his roster and kept their morale high. However, one of those stars recently announced their exit from a popular independent promotion.

At the 13th anniversary show of STARDOM that took on January 21st, 25-year-old Megan Bayne wrestled her final match for the company. She teamed up with Maika and HANAKO against Giulia, Suzu Suzuki, and Mei Seira in a losing effort.

Bayne would then grab a microphone after the bout to bid farewell to the company. However, she did mention that it was not her last salute to the wrestling audience of STARDOM and she would want to see them in the future.

“Today was my last match in STARDOM and I’m very excited about that. Being here, being able to compete with some of the best wrestlers in the entire world and I am very grateful for that. But I don’t think I am done here, I don’t want this to be goodbye, I want this to be see you soon.”

The current AEW star had been a part of STARDOM since July 2022, wrestling some of the top-tier talent on their roster. Furthermore, she spent the majority of her tenure tagging alongside Maika, with the duo even winning the Goddess Of STARDOM league.

However, it is interesting to note that she has not been featured on AEW programming much, despite signing with the promotion months ago. So it could be interesting to see if Tony Khan decides to now capitalize on Megan’s exclusivity to his roster moving forward.

Do you want to see Megan Bayne become a regular fixture on AEW? Does she have the potential to become one of their top stars? Sound off in the comments!
