Internal Reaction to Jinder Mahal’s WWE World Heavyweight Title Shot for 1/15 RAW

Seth Rollins will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Jinder Mahal on the January 15th episode of WWE RAW. That match was a bit of a surprise for fans to see, and there was also a reaction backstage.

Jinder Mahal is getting a lot of attention right now, and a lot of that stems from the fact that he is getting a WWE World Heavyweight Title shot against Seth Rollins on the January 15th episode of WWE RAW. That triggered Tony Khan and controversy started after that.

Although Jinder Mahal went on to delete his response to Tony Khan’s tweet, the message was heard loud and clear. Now, fans are taking a look at the numbers.

During his Backstage Report on Fightful’s Paywall, Sean Sapp was asked about the backstage reaction in WWE after Jinder Mahal’s big WWE World Heavyweight Title shot was booked.

“Everybody likes Jinder. Jinder is a well-liked dude. there is plenty of that, ‘Hey, wish they would have made sense of it type thing.”

The public backlash after this match was booked was something else. If anything, it certainly proved that fans care about who faces Seth Rollins for his title. Of course, Tony Khan mentioning it only took things into a new gear.

We will have to see how Jinder Mahal’s big WWE World Heavyweight Title match goes on WWE RAW next week. The pro wrestling world will probably be paying very close attention to see how that one turns out.
