Elias was part of the Superstars who were released in September, and now he is a free agent. This means he is getting back out in the pro wrestling world, and now he will have a new name.

Elias was Ezekiel in WWE as well, his twin brother. That gimmick may have been the cause of his demise in the company. Now, he has a new name.

Ringside News exclusively reported that there was a belief within WWE that Elias’ Ezekiel storyline killed his career in the company. He wasn’t able to rebound, and he was released. Now, we will get to see what he does next.

The former Drifter jumped on Twitter to reveal that his name is now Elijah. He made that very clear along with an animated gif.

Hello… I am ELIJAH

Elias could do some fun things, because he had nice momentum in WWE for a while. Only time will tell if his musical gimmick will catch fire somewhere else, but he may give it a try.

We will have to see what Elijah is able to do in the pro wrestling world. He has a lot of experience getting heat from fans, so Tony Khan, or any number of promoters could use his services.
