Sammy Guevara became one of the most beloved stars in AEW, mainly thanks to his solid in-ring prowess. He betrayed Chris Jericho at AEW Grand Slam and faced off against him and Kenny Omega at AEW WrestleDream. He was then pulled from the following Dynamite after suffering a concussion. Guevara is back in the fold now and Guevara has promised he will be changing his in-ring style now that he is a father.

Sammy Guevara suffered concussion that led to him taking some time off from AEW television. In the meantime, the former TNT Champion and his wife Tay Conti welcomed their first child last month.

Sammy Guevara made a name for himself thanks to his death-defying stunts in a match, as his reckless abandon always worried fans that he was not going to have a long shelf life as a pro wrestler.

While speaking on the Insight podcast, Sammy Guevara talked about becoming a father. Guevara admitted that he will no longer perform his incredibly risky spots anymore and tone it down in the ring.

‘It’s pretty cool for sure and now it’s got me thinking differently just in wrestling. Because I’m used to doing all the ‘I’m Crazy ‘ stuff but now I’m like, yeah, I guess I can’t be that crazy anymore… I don’t know if we’re going to dial it back but I think we’ll be more selective with how and when we do the crazy stuff.

There was stuff in Lucha Underground, doing a moonsault 14 feet in the air to Jake Hager. Who bless his heart, tried to catch me, but there’s only so much you can do.”

Sammy Guevara returned during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, where he aligned himself with Chris Jericho once again. He will be teaming up with Chris Jericho Sting and Darby Allin to take on The Don Callis Family, Ricky Starks & Big Bill at AEW Worlds End on December 30th. We’ll have to see how Sammy Guevara will fare in his first match back since the concussion.
