Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair remains a big name in the industry, despite the fact he is also one of the most controversial in the business. He debuted in AEW last month to mixed reception. That said, Flair has claimed that he has been cleared for an in-ring return.

Ric Flair made his debut on a previous episode of AEW Dynamite, where he was revealed to be Sting’s gift from Tony Khan. Naturally, this was big moment for not only The Nature Boy but others in the company as well.

In the weeks since then, Ric Flair got physical at AEW Full Gear and continues to have a presence on AEW television. The Nature Boy hasn’t wrestled since his ‘final’ match back in 2022 as well.

While speaking on The Wrestling Classic Podcast, the Nature Boy revealed that he has been cleared for an in-ring return. However, Flair further stated that he chooses not to wrestle despite getting clearance.

“My health is good. I’ve been cleared. I can get in the ring. I’m not going to wrestle. Let’s clarify that.”

Flair doesn’t advise younger wrestlers for good reason. He is also willing to take table bump in AEW, so we will have to wait and see how the company will continue to use him in the coming weeks, as he hasn’t really done much anyway.

What’s your opinion on this Ric Flair story? Do you feel it’s for the best that he doesn’t wrestle? Let us know in the comments section below!
