Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair remains a big name in the industry, despite the fact he is also one of the most controversial in the business as well. He debuted in AEW last month to mixed reception. That said, Flair also disclosed why he no longer gives any sort of advice to young wrestlers.

Ric Flair made his debut on a previous episode of AEW Dynamite, where he was revealed to be Sting’s gift from Tony Khan. Naturally, this was big moment for not only The Nature Boy but others in the company as well.

In the weeks since then, Ric Flair got physical at AEW Full Gear and continues to have presence on AEW television. While speaking on KARE 11, The Nature Boy explained why he no longer gives any sort of advice to young wrestlers. Ultimately it came down to the fact that a wrestler would ask him advice, they would ask the same question to someone who was significantly younger than Flair.

I don’t really do that too much anymore because, if you want to know the truth, and it’s sad, but I think it’s the same way in not just wrestling, but in other sports, the kids, the younger generation looks more at what the fans are saying. Social media, and they are sensitive. Everybody is sensitive and it’s hurtful, but I quit giving advice when somebody asked me something and then I saw them walk over and ask someone 20 years younger the same question.

I’m only going to tell them once, if they ask, and they really don’t ask. People still ask me to watch their match and give my critiques, I do that. I’m delighted when someone asks me that. Someone just asked me last week. I love to help them out. I’ve had so much experience and wrestle so many different personalities, different body types, different styles, and I’m honored when they ask me that and I like to give them advice.”

Ric Flair was having great time on AEW Dynamite this week. Flair is also willing to take table bump in AEW, so we will have to wait and see how the company will continue to use him in the coming weeks.
