MJF has been touted as one of the defining heels of the current generation of pro wrestlers and it is not hard to understand why. He is also the AEW World Champion and is respected by many veterans, including Ric Flair. In fact, Ric Flair believes MJF has the potential to be the next Randy Orton.

As previously reported, MJF was legitimately injured after AEW Full Gear. It was noted that he suffered dislocated hip and his shoulder was banged up as well. In addition to that, MJF has been working through a torn labrum injury.

The Salt of The Earth has been the AEW World Champion for well over a year now. He is truly a student of the game and respects all the veterans who came before him, especially WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

While speaking to The Wrestling Classic, The Nature Boy talked about MFJ’s progress in professional wrestling. Ric Flair noted that he stated that he believes MJF will be the next Randy Orton in the future.

Well number one, I think he’s (MJF) actually — he comes across as confident in real life as he comes across with his confidence in the ring and he’s got a good interview, he’s got a great look, he worked hard. I think he’s got the confidence in real life that he portrays on TV and I think the future is unlimited for him and he’s really good. He could be the next Randy Orton. That’s about as high a praise as I can give him.”

We will have to wait and see whether MJF will be ready in time for the Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30th, where he will defend his AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe.
