WWE has a lot of plans on the table, and you never know what is in the pipeline, especially when contracts are a part of the conversation. A lot of money is on the line, and WWE obviously isn’t in any huge rush right now.

We previously noted that Mercedes Mone is currently not under a contract with NJPW. That means she may be a free agent, and that brings a lot of interesting conversations to the table.

Behind Fightful’s paywall, Sean Sapp discussed WWE’s contract situations on his Backstage Report podcast. He noted that the company plans to get into contract talks at the start of 2024, but Mercedes Mone’s deal wasn’t noted to be part of those talks.

“We have been told that WWE plans on renewing talks with multiple Superstars after the new year, but we haven’t been told that Mercedes is among them.”

WWE has some huge contracts running up in 2024. Becky Lynch, Sheamus, Seth Rollins, and more are running up. Drew McIntyre’s contract has been a topic of conversation for months, and nothing has been agreed on.

Although WWE has locked some stars down, like Dominik Mysterio, it is apparent that they have some work to do. They will start that quest in 2024 to secure even more talent.

What’s your take on WWE securing more talent to deals? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
