WWE has a lot of plans in place, but that doesn’t mean everyone on the roster has something in store for them. It seems that the company drafted someone from NXT to the main roster without any plan in place.

Odyssey Jones, initially drafted to RAW in the 2023 WWE Draft, failed to leave a significant mark on the red brand during his stint. However, recent developments suggest a potential shift for Jones as he was spotted backstage at SmackDown. Rumors began circulating that WWE might be gearing up for Jones’ debut on Friday nights. Despite these reports, fans are left waiting for the confirmation and appearance of Odyssey Jones on SmackDown. While his talent and potential are undeniable, WWE has yet to take decisive action in pushing him into the spotlight.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Odyssey Jones is still waiting for creative plans to come through for him. At this point, a proposed idea for him to join the Street Profits and Bobby Lashley was shot down, so they need to figure something else out for him.

Odyssey Jones hasn’t been on WWE TV, but has been on the road. We’re told that he had been pitched for the Street Profits/Lashley group at one point, but there’s been no development on screen. However, he returned to the road with WWE, teaming with Cameron Grimes against Austin Theory and Grayson waller on recent live events.
