AEW President Tony Khan has a lot of passion for the world of professional wrestling, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t done a lot of questionable things over the years. That said, Khan has now complained about AEW constantly receiving negative attention over the past year.

Tony Khan still books AEW in his own vision, even though he still gets advice and help from those close to him in the company. Reports have suggested that AEW talent are increasingly in the dark when it comes to their creative direction due to Khan making last-minute decisions.

That’s not all as AEW ticket sales and ratings have been slowly declining and it has become a cause of concern for the company. That said, there are a lot of negative views on the company, with many people on social media constantly going after AEW.

While speaking during the post-ROH Final Battle media scrum, Tony Khan addressed the backlash AEW has been receiving as of late. Khan stated that AEW is always under constant attack and it doesn’t matter how many good shows they put on – someone will always complain. Khan noted that at this point, he simply doesn’t worry about the negativity.

To be AEW is to be under constant attack. You do a great show and the next day, somebody’s saying something negative. You do 5 great shows in a row, it’s negative. You break the ticket record for the most tickets ever sold for any wrestling show in the history of the world, somoene has something bad to say about it.

At this point, I don’t worry about it. We just need to go out there and do great shows week after week like we did.

Communication is key in professional wrestling and Tony Khan is determined more than ever to keep on producing content that will cater to all kinds of fans. Regardless, we’ll have to see what’s next in store for AEW as we head towards 2024.
