AEW Dynamite’s Holiday Bash, set to air on Wednesday, December 20 is set for some thrilling matchups as the AEW Continental Classic Gold League finalists will be determined during this special episode.

Three exciting Gold League bouts have been officially announced for Dynamite, as revealed during Friday’s Rampage episode. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Jon Moxley vs. Jay White: With 12 points to his name, Jon Moxley is set to clash with Jay White, who has accumulated 9 points.
  • Swerve Strickland vs. Rush: Swerve Strickland, holding 9 points, is slated to take on Rush, who has earned 6 points.
  • Mark Briscoe vs. Jay Lethal: Mark Briscoe, with 0 points, will face off against Jay Lethal, also at 0 points. While they may be out of contention for the top two Gold League spots.

The stakes are high, as the wrestlers with the top two points totals in the Gold League following these matches will earn their spot in the Gold League Finals, scheduled for the New Year’s Smash edition of Dynamite on December 27.

The winner of the Gold League will go on to face the Blue League winner at Worlds End on Saturday, December 30. This championship match will crown the inaugural AEW Continental Champion, a prestigious title that combines the ROH World Championship, the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship, and the Continental Classic winner.
