Bandido impressed fans over the years, and that is a big reason why AEW had him compete against Chris Jericho on Dynamite last year. Bandido’s contract status after that was always a topic of discussion, and that’s why he finally inked a deal with Tony Khan’s company. That being said, Bandido has been out of action for a long time and suffered a setback recently. Now he underwent successful surgery as well.

During his match with Konosuke Takeshita on the June 14 edition of Rampage, Bandido suffered broken wrist injury and would undergo successful surgery for the same back in July.

As previously reported, Bandido would require another surgery, because his wrist is not in good shape. Bandido took to Twitter and revealed that he underwent successful surgery for his wrist.

2nd surgery was successfull In first place a wanna say thank you to God for always keep with me! To @AEW workers and fans!! who always support me!! and in very special mention @TonyKhan for all the attentions that he’ve had to me and my family THANK YOU VERY MUCH

As previously reported, Bandido is expected to make his in-ring return in the summer of next year, which is still quite a few months away.

It remains to be seen what AEW will have planned for Bandido after his return next year, as the landscape of the company has changed significantly since June this year and will undergo even more changes by the Summer of 2024.

What’s your opinion on this story? Who do you think Bandido’s first opponent should be after his in-ring return? Let us know in the comments!
