Bandido impressed fans throughout his career, and that is a big reason why AEW had him compete against Chris Jericho on Dynamite last year. Bandido’s contract status after that was always a topic of discussion, and that’s why he finally inked a deal with Tony Khan’s company. That being said, Bandido has not been out of action due to injury and it appears he underwent successful surgery for the same.

Bandido also picked AEW over WWE as he did not want to move. Bandido went on to compete in a few matches after signing with the company, as fans simply could not get enough of the talented star.

During his match with Konosuke Takeshita on the June 14 edition of Rampage, Bandido suffered broken wrist injury. Bandido took to his Instagram and uploaded a photo of himself after undergoing successful surgery.

GRACIAS!!! THANK YOU!!!! ARIGATO!!!!

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that with or without surgery, the timeline of a return to the ring would likely be at least three months. We’ll have to see what AEW will have planned for him after his return.
