Vince McMahon ruled over WWE with an iron fist over several decades, as fans grew accustomed to how he conducted business. Things are different now as he no longer has as much power now. In fact, WWE plans on ignoring Vince McMahon’s religious rule from now on.

Ever since Nick Khan took over as the President and Triple H took over as the COO of WWE, the company has been focused on getting more brand-sponsored matches – a big step up for WWE.

It was previously reported that word backstage in WWE is that Triple H has been “knighted by Endeavor.” The company is now moving with all the creative decisions being made by Triple H.

While speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Vince McMahon was very strict when it came to keeping the ring clean of any brand endorsements. It was added that this was a religion for him and Meltzer stated that WWE is now planning to ignore that religious rule.

“It was his religion. I think it was like a religion to Vince; you don’t advertise on the mats; you keep it clean. That’s no longer going to be the case.”

Vince McMahon also has no intention of parting ways with WWE anytime soon. We will have to wait and see how WWE will keep on implementing changes, now that Vince McMahon no longer calls the shots.
