CM Punk made his return to WWE at Survivor Series. It was loaded event, and fans were ready to go home before Living Colour’s song hit to pop the Allstate Arena in a huge way. Plenty of people weighed in on the situation, and Kayla Braxton couldn’t help but throw her two cents out there.

CM Punk was on the AEW roster until he was let go after All In. Months of speculation followed, as Punk’s name was churning in the rumor mill. There were no talks between the two sides until days before the Survivor Series event.

Kayla Braxton reacted to a post from WWE about CM Punk’s return to the company. The caption that the company went with was, “never say never,” but Kayla Braxton had her own spin on things. The WWE SmackDown backstage interviewer replied to suggest that the grass in WWE is much greener.

I guess the grass is greener over here, huh?

It should be noted that CM Punk did not leave AEW by choice. He was fired after a backstage confrontation with Jack Perry, one where he sucker punched Jungle Boy backstage at AEW All In London. That being said, Punk was able to make his return to WWE before Perry came back to AEW television.

Kayla Braxton then followed that post up by dropping a message about how great it was to see those WWE returns last night. However, she only included R-Truth and Randy Orton. Obviously, she knows that CM Punk returned as well, so this omission is a curious one.

Last night was nuts so I didn’t get a lot of tweets out, but also wanna acknowledge how friggin excited I am to have the legendary Randy Orton and R-Truth back. Excited to see what they get into now.

We will have to see what the future holds for CM Punk in WWE. He inked a multi-year deal, one that he didn’t sign until just before his return at the Allstate Arena. Kayla Braxton was probably very surprised by CM Punk’s return, just like everyone else. We have to wonder how everything will pan out in this situation.
