The pro wrestling world was constantly speculating about CM Punk’s return to WWE as soon as he was fired by AEW back in September. No one could believe he would actually return to WWE but that is exactly what happened as Punk made his shocking comeback after almost 10 years at Survivor Series. Interestingly enough, WWE staff and Creative had no idea about Punk’s return.

CM Punk shocked the entire pro wrestling world when he made his return at the very end of the Survivor Series Premium Live Event. Naturally, fans all over the world were absolutely elated about his return.

Sean Ross Sapp took to X/Twitter in light of CM Punk’s incredible return at Survivor Series. Sapp revealed that CM Punk told at least one person close to him he had an hour-long talk with Triple H last week. It was further added that CM Punk told at least one person close to him he had and even Creative had no idea about Punk’s return. Even people in production had no idea.

WWE staff, reps, creative had no idea. He walked through the back in plain site minutes before he appeared. They had cleared an area out.

Triple H took over calling the show in the last couple of minutes and called for the copyright logo. Even many in production didn’t know.

WWE is clearly at the very top of the world right now after bagging CM Punk again, following his AEW firing. We will have to wait and see how WWE will book The Second City Saint, now that he is back.
