Will Ospreay, often hailed as one of the standout pro wrestlers of the past decade, continues to set the wrestling world abuzz with his remarkable performances and free agency status. With his contract with NJPW set to expire in February 2024, Ospreay has been dropping hints about his next move, and during the latest TV tapings for TNA in Chicago, he left fans speculating about a potential move to TNA.
Ospreay squared off against the highly regarded Josh Alexander in a match that garnered significant attention. However, it was his post-match promo that stole the spotlight. In an emotional address to the crowd, Ospreay expressed his desire to join TNA, making it clear that he had no intention of signing with Impact Wrestling.
Ospreay then reflected on the revival of TNA under new ownership and the incredible talent both in the ring and backstage. However, he emphasized his preference for TNA, stating, “But, I didn’t want to come to Impact Wrestling, I wanted to come to TNA. So, before I round this up, before February strikes, you better make sure, as much as I loved Impact, I mean to step foot in the TNA ring.”
”Everyone knows the story of Will Ospreay, a 14-year-old was channel flicking and saw the first match that I ever saw – Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe and AJ Styles. That match made me want to become a pro wrestler and I wanted to come to Impact for a very long time.”
“I honestly thought Impact was done, there was no saving it. Then new ownership came along and the talent backstage! It is and should be spoken loud and clear that the staff back there and the roster are the reason this place is living, breathing and thriving.”
