Ric Flair forged a legendary name for himself over the years, but everything good must come to an end. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer is now living a great life as he has many products with his name on them, and he’s still styling and profiling like always.

Ric Flair recently admitted that social media has done a lot of damage to pro wrestling. That being said, he is no longer an in-ring performer during this day when engagement is king and the lifeblood for online survival.

While speaking to The Breakfast Club, Ric Flair was asked about the end of his in-ring career, and why he pulled the plug on things. The Nature Boy went on to say that he could still wrestle to this day, but Vince McMahon was the man who ultimately told him that it was time for him to wrap up his in-ring career with WWE.

“Well, I had that match last year, I still fell great, you know they say it’s funny that I feel great despite all my injuries my knee, hip replacement and shoulder, I feel great. I could, but actually, I could, but I won’t. I didn’t wanna quit. At the time, Vince McMahon said, ‘it’s time,’ so okay.”

Vince McMahon felt that Ric Flair needed to retire, so that is what happened. It also led to a great match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24. Right before HBK nailed a superkick to end The Nature Boy’s career, he said that he loves him, and he was sorry that he had to do it. Of course, Ric Flair would go on to wrestle a few times after that, but never for WWE again.

Ric Flair said that he “could” wrestle again, but that’s not happening. At this stage in his life, he has a lot of irons in the fire, making money with endorsements and merchandising on the legendary name he made for himself.
