WWE has some big plans for Dragon Lee, as they’ve looked hard for their next breakout masked Superstar for some time. They have a real shot at turning Dragon Lee into something special, and they are getting started in a hurry.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Dragon Lee will be on the SmackDown brand. His main roster home will be on Friday night, and it appears that he will get started by facing a former champion.
BWE confirmed behind their private X account that Dragon Lee and Austin Theory are expected to have a battle in the ring this week on SmackDown. That should be a fun match, and an unannounced one so far.
Dragon Lee didn’t spend much time in NXT, but it wasn’t expected that he would. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that, “the nature of the deal he signed did indicate he’d be on the main roster after one year in NXT to begin with, but the match with Dominik may have sped up his timetable.”
