Update: CM Punk’s camp is now claiming that there are talks about WWE return.

Original: CM Punk left WWE a long time ago, and it doesn’t seem like things have gotten any better. The fact that CM Punk is now a free agent has the rumor mill churning, especially in light of recent happenings.

Some WWE fans believed that CM Punk was referenced during RAW this week. Ringside News exclusively reported that, “Seth Rollins is one of many people here who don’t like CM Punk.” If he had an idea that was a reference, then he most likely got it approved by Triple H before the show, and “kept it out of the script.”

Ringside News reached out about this story, and we were told that WWE and CM Punk are not working on anything. Also, there is no CM Punk match planned in WWE for the future “unless something shifts dramatically.”

Many fans have been tweeting about Seth Rollins vs CM Punk at WrestleMania. Those two look good next to each other on fan-made WrestleMania 40 graphics that have been floating around. There is no plan for this to actually happen, so fans will have to keep this match in the fantasy booking territory.

Ringside News was able to exclusively confirm that we are told that the main event matches for both nights of WrestleMania 40 are decided. The Women’s Title matches are also decided. Obviously, CM Punk is not a part of those plans.

CM Punk could find an open door for himself with Impact Wrestling. Only time will tell if that happens, but it doesn’t appear that there is any real interest within WWE, despite Shawn Michaels saying that he’d welcome him in NXT.

Ringside News will have complete coverage of WWE RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and all premium live vents, including WrestleMania. Don’t forget to hang out with us in our live results section during the show for up-to-date play-by-play!
