Johnny Gargano Makes WWE RAW Return To Reunite With Tommaso Ciampa

WWE brought the go-home episode of RAW before Fastlane this week, and a lot of things went down. The main event, an IC Title match with GUNTHER vs Tommaso Ciampa, was actually supposed to be on the card this Saturday, but they decided to run that match early.

Tommaso Ciampa faced GUNTHER in the main event of RAW this week. In the end, GUNTHER choked Ciampa out, and he passed out. That was not a submission, or a pinfall, but Ciampa still lost.

After the match, GUNTHER left as Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser jumped in the ring and started to stomp a mudhole in Tommaso Ciampa. Suddenly, Johnny Gargano’s music hit, and he ran to the ring for the save.

This move effectively reunited Team DIY on RAW. They pulled off a double team move, much to the delight of fans, as the show closed.

This is a long time coming, and something WWE fans have wanted to see for a while. It might have taken a bit of a wait, because of Gargano’s injury, but now it appears that WWE is getting the ball rolling for another Team DIY run in the company.
