Edge’s contract with WWE ran up, and all signs are that he will join Tony Khan’s company soon enough. With WrestleDream coming up this Sunday in Seattle, the rumor mill is churning with Adam Copeland’s name right now.

Ringside News also previously exclusively reported that there is an internal belief within WWE that Edge is going to AEW. A short time later, Sean Sapp reported that there is also belief within AEW that Tony Khan will ink Adam Copeland to a contract.

The rumors about Edge going to AEW are huge right now, and plenty of fans are expecting that he will make his debut with the company at WrestleDream. That being said, he will not be known as “Edge” in AEW, since WWE owns that name.

Adam Copeland’s name is trending today on social media, and not “Edge.” Fans are posting while they use his real name, because that will likely be his name in AEW if that debut goes down.

While some fans are very happy about the idea of Adam Copeland mixing it up with the AEW roster, others aren’t as thrilled. One fan tweeted a couple photos from Matt Hardy’s infamous concussion incident, along with a warning for the Rated R Superstar.

Matt Hardy almost lost his career to a botch, Adam Cole broke his leg in 3 places, and Bryan Danielsen broke his arm with main eventing. Adam Copeland has Back problems, and these guys had those injury going over the top with their moves, all i can say to Adam is Be careful.

Some fans are discussing how Adam Copeland will be presented in AEW. One fan wrote, “So do we think Adam Copeland is using Metalingus? I mean it is not a WWE owned song so.”

AEW could do a lot of things with Adam Copeland in the company. It will certainly go to fill a hole that CM Punk left in the roster when he was fired. Only time will tell how Tony Khan uses Copeland in the company.

With Darby Allin vs Christian Cage likely getting the main event for the show, that TNT Title match may present a perfect opportunity for Adam Copeland’s debut. A lot of fans certainly expect him at this point.
