Original WWE Plans for Mustafa Ali on RAW This Week Before Departure

Mustafa Ali had a lot of potential after his main roster debut in 2019. Unfortunately, he was mostly wasted on the main roster due to being stuck in uninteresting storylines. Unfortunately, even his run in NXT didn’t quite reach the heights fans wanted to and now he has left the company. It appears Ali was slated to appear on RAW this week prior to his departure today.

Since his debut, Ali has impressed fans and WWE management, so much so that he was due for a big push a few years ago, which got derailed due to injury. When Ali returned, he was made the leader of Retribution, which nearly destroyed his reputation.

Mustafa Ali’s arrival in NXT was met with a lot of positive reactions, but fans were disheartened by the fact he didn’t win the NXT North American Championship. Ali announced today that he is no longer working with WWE, crushing the hopes of fans all over the world.

According to a report by PWInsider, Mustafa Ali was slated to appear on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in order to progress his storyline with Dominik Mysterio, ahead of their NXT No Mercy clash.

Fans can’t believe Mustafa Ali is gone from WWE just over a week before his match against Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Championship at NXT No Mercy on September 30th. We’ll have to see what the future holds for Mustafa Ali now that he is no longer with WWE.
