WWE is going through a big change with the UFC merger taking hold, and now we have the aftermath. That sadly includes a lot of people losing their jobs.

WWE was hit very hard by layoffs today. A few divisions say significant cuts, but WWE didn’t cut people from all over the company.

It is widely believed that the cuts will not impact the WWE roster, as well as production team, on-air talents, or individuals closely involved with talents, such as producers and coaches. We can add creative to that list.

Ringside News reached out, and we were told by a tenured member of the WWE team that the creative team is not expected to see any cuts today. That being said, they are much luckier than others in the comments.

In the end, over 40 employees, maybe more than 50, lost their job with WWE today. This is sad day with the company, as many are still nervous that a call will come that they are no longer employed.

It was previously reported that the WWE Network and podcasting divisions were hit hard by the cuts. Hopefully, everyone who lost their jobs today are able to find employment elsewhere.

Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
