AEW fired BJ Whitmer after news of his recent arrest. Now, that situation is far from finished for Whitmer, because he will likely see his day in court now.

Sean Sapp reported that BJ Whitmer has been charged in connection with his domestic violence arrest from June. In June, Whitmer was arrested on charges of first-degree strangulation and second-degree burglary.

Those heinous charges have now led to his indictment, with both being classified as class C felonies. A pretrial hearing for this case is scheduled for October 4th. At the time of his arrest, Whitmer was working as an AEW producer, but he was let go from his position following the incident.

For what it’s worth, BJ Whitmer had heat in AEW prior to his arrest. That arrest was certainly enough to cause his firing from the company. AEW has since offered assistance to Whitmer’s victim.

BJ Whitmer’s victim also came forward with her chilling story. We will have to see if she is forced to re-tell that in court eventually.

We will keep a close eye on this story, and everything else in the pro wrestling world, right here at Ringside News. As always, leave your comments in the space below to let us know what you think!
