AEW fired BJ Whitmer after news of his recent arrest. Now, that situation is far from finished for Whitmer, because he will likely see his day in court now.

Sean Sapp reported that BJ Whitmer has been charged in connection with his domestic violence arrest from June. In June, Whitmer was arrested on charges of first-degree strangulation and second-degree burglary.

Those heinous charges have now led to his indictment, with both being classified as class C felonies. A pretrial hearing for this case is scheduled for October 4th. At the time of his arrest, Whitmer was working as an AEW producer, but he was let go from his position following the incident.

For what it’s worth, BJ Whitmer had heat in AEW prior to his arrest. That arrest was certainly enough to cause his firing from the company. AEW has since offered assistance to Whitmer’s victim.
