Sting entered AEW as a WWE Hall of Famer already, but that didn’t stop him from taking on a lot more action in the ring than anyone thought he would. At 64-years-old, Sting is now known for high spots, something he never really did before. Tony Khan also believes that this is the best run the Stinger has ever had.

Sting continues to perform at a remarkably high level within AEW. Despite being potentially near the twilight of his career, AEW CEO Tony Khan expresses the belief that this WWE Hall of Famer is currently experiencing his most outstanding tenure in AEW.

In a recent conversation with The Chase McCabe Show, Khan expressed his excitement about having a multitude of top wrestling talents in AEW. Nevertheless, having “The Icon” as a part of the roster is an especially gratifying aspect of it all.

“When you talk about some of the biggest names in pro wrestling, for me it starts and ends with Sting. He’s one of the all-time legends. He’s one of my all-time favorites. Sting is still a huge part of AEW, and one of the greatest things we accomplished was bringing Sting out of retirement. He is still wrestling to this day. He is undefeated in AEW, in fact, and he’s on the greatest run of his career right now in AEW.”

Sting is set to team up with Darby Allin to face Swerve Strickland and AR Fox at AEW All In London on August 27th. That will not be Sting’s final match, because he doesn’t want to retire yet.

Sting has discussed retiring in the past, and the WWE Hall of Famer made it clear that he is wrapping things up in the ring. There was some thought about Sting actually retiring at All In London.

What’s your take on Sting wrapping up his career in AEW? Do you think this run has been better than anything else he’s ever done? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!
