Wrestle Votes reports that Edge has not inked a new deal. His deal is up in September, but Toronto was his last contracted match. At this point, the Rated R Superstar’s future in the company is a bit uncertain. He could have wrapped things up in Toronto after all. At this point, the “ball” is in Edge’s court.

“Asked if anything changed post show regarding the status of Edge going forward. Source said he hasn’t signed a new deal as of now and the feeling among creative and others is that of unknown. The ball is truly in his court.”

Edge could decide that he wants to come back, but he also always wanted to end his career on his terms. He was not provided that luxury the first time around, and he might have decided that his last match with Sheamus in Toronto is how he wants to end things.

Only time will tell what Edge will do next. As Ringside News exclusively reported, the original feeling was that Edge will wrestle again, even after SmackDown this week.
