CM Punk’s Scathing Promo About Adam Page After AEW Collision Said To Be ‘A Rub’

CM Punk is undoubtedly one of the most divisive figures in pro wrestling right now and his reputation precedes himself. He also cut a scathing promo on Adam Page after Collision last week and it appears some believe it was a rub.

CM Punk essentially buried Adam Page on live television last year. CM Punk’s promo on Adam Page was not part of the plans and was shoot. Punk even got heat on himself due to the promo.

After last week’s episode of AEW Collision went off the air, CM Punk decided to take multiple shots at Adam Page and mocked him in promo. Naturally, fans weren’t happy about this at all.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about CM Punk’s scathing promo on Adam Page. Booker T stated that he believes CM Punk gave Adam Page a rub with the promo.

“Anything goes in a promo. For me, like family, I’m not gonna bring family into play or anything like that. That’s just me. But as far as the stuff CM Punk is doing with Hangman Page, it’s a rub for Hangman Page because he’s not as big of a star as CM Punk. CM Punk saying something about Hangman Page might spark an interest and people want to see something. I look at it in several different ways, I really do.”

CM Punk also apologized to Adam Page for his off-air promo on AEW Collision. Punk was also not responsible for Adam Page getting removed from Collision last week. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see what will become of Punk in the end.
