Paul Wight began his career as The Giant in WCW, but then he made a new name for himself as The Big Show in WWE. He spent two decades in WWE and took part in numerous storylines before parting ways with the company. He’s now part of the AEW family and hasn’t competed much since joining the company. That being said, it appears he teased making an in-ring return at AEW.

Paul Wight eventually decided to take his skills elsewhere and made his way to AEW back in 2021. The World’s Largest Athlete had been content working as part of the commentary team on AEW Dark: Elevation and occasionally competing in the ring.

Last year, Paul Wight revealed that he underwent hip replacement surgery and then also noted the fact that he did not want to take spots away from the younger talent. Wight took to Instagram with a photo of new wrestling boots, seemingly hinting at making an in-ring return.

@wrestlingbootszahermx Huge thank you and well done on my new boots💪😎. Captain Insano! LFG❤️

Paul Wight has not competed in a match since March of last year. In fact, Wight already stated that he has years left in his pro wrestling career. We will have to wait and see when Wight will be able to compete in AEW once again.
