Brock Lesnar lost a brutal match to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, one where he was actually hurt during the match. After the biggest party of the summer was over in Detroit, there were a lot of questions about when and where Brock Lesnar will show up next.

It was previously noted that Brock Lesnar was scheduled for WWE Payback, but that is not the case. Ringside News exclusively reported that he would not be at that event. Now, fans are wondering if he will be back in 2023, as Dave Meltzer reported that he won’t be back this year.

Ringside News reached out to confirm Brock Lesnar’s hiatus for the rest of the year. We were told that only a handful of people in WWE know what Lesnar’s schedule looks like. The writing team is told when he will be around, but other times they are just as surprised as fans at home.

Brock Lesnar’s schedule is kept tight with Lesnar, Vince McMahon, Triple H, Bruce Prichard, Ed Koskey, Nick Khan, Paul Heyman and Talent Relations. The writers get told when we have access to him. Sometimes. Other times, it’s just as much a surprise to the writers as it is to everyone else.

It should be noted that Brock Lesnar seems to be okay after SummerSlam. The Beast Incarnate stole fan’s hat after SummerSlam in Ford Field. He jumped on stage with Luke Bryan at concert recently as well, and that was a big surprise.

Brock Lesnar wrapped up his time at SummerSlam by putting Cody Rhodes over in a huge way. That was 100% improvised and Lesnar’s call to do at that moment. Obviously, it was a great way to wrap up his three-match series with the American Nightmare as well.

Brock Lesnar will be back in WWE, but it is unknown at this time how long his break will be at this point. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more on this story, and everything else going on in the pro wrestling world.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
