Brock Lesnar always brings attention to any event he’s a part of. After Saturday’s SummerSlam event in Detroit’s Ford Field, he has the luxury of taking some time off, but WWE will have to carry on without him.

It was previously reported that Dave Meltzer stated that Brock Lesnar is advertised for Payback. That is not the case, as he is not listed as any Superstars at the show.

“He’s advertised for Payback, so maybe that’s when he comes back. I was told he’ll be gone for a while, but not a long while. So, we’ll have to see what that means.”

Ringside News reached out to confirm Brock Lesnar’s status for WWE Payback. We were told by a tenured member of the team that Brock Lesnar will not be at Payback.

Brock Lesnar is coming off a three-match series with Cody Rhodes, one where he lost the rubber match clean. That being said, he’s not rushing to make his way back for another feud. He is still a part-time special attraction, so taking time off is nothing new for Lesnar.

Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar’s match at SummerSlam also ended with the Beast Incarnate putting the American Nightmare over in huge fashion. That rub at the end where Lesnar raised Cody’s hand was not planned part of the show, and Lesnar just did that.

Only time will tell when Brock Lesnar’s music strikes once again to surprise fans. He’s getting Payback off, but his time in the company is certainly not over yet.
