Bray Wyatt was set to take on Bobby Lashley in a featured match at WrestleMania 39, but then the Eater of Worlds took off and hasn’t been seen since. This story is very complicated, as Wyatt was suffering from an illness, reported to be life-threatening, and he hasn’t been back. Now, we have a bit of an update.

Mike Rotunda might be best known to WWE fans as IRS. The George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Famer is also father to Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas, both of which disappeared at the same time on the road to WrestleMania, since Dallas was the man behind the Uncle Howdy mask. Mike Rotunda knows a lot about what his son is doing, so his words carry a bit more weight to them.

While speaking to the Wrestling Binge, Mike Rotunda was asked about his son’s health status. The Hall of Famer stated that he is “sure” that Bray Wyatt will return to the ring, and that will hopefully come very soon.

“You read a lot of stuff on the internet, which I wouldn’t believe a lot of it or, in my case, any of it. So, Bray Wyatt, I’m sure he will return to WWE hopefully shortly, and we’ll go from there.”

As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE had plans for a new Wyatt Family stable for Bray Wyatt before he took off. We will have to see what they come up with when he comes back, but the company is being very, very careful about his health before his comeback can be arranged.

WWE also doesn’t want to put a bunch of creative energy, time, and money into Bray Wyatt, only to have something come up again that will cause another hiatus. We can only hope that whatever is wrong with Bray Wyatt is clearing up, and he will get back to the ring as soon as he can.
