During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes’ big SummerSlam match. It was stated that Lesnar will be back, and they already have him advertised for his next event.

“He’s advertised for Payback, so maybe that’s when he comes back. I was told he’ll be gone for a while, but not a long while. So, we’ll have to see what that means.”

Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes threw down in a memorable third match, one that the American Nightmare was able to pull down in dramatic fashion. That being said, Brock Lesnar’s big showing of respect after that match was not part of the plan at all.

Cody Rhodes opened up to admit that he doesn’t want to wrestle Brock Lesnar again after SummerSlam. Only time will tell what is in their futures, but it’s likely that those two are done tearing each other apart now.
