AEW is trying hard to make sure that they lock down stars that they want to continue building the company around. With so many hours of television time available to Tony Khan, he certainly has options at this point.

The company just inked new deals with The Elite. That was a big surprise, because we previously reported that Kenny Omega was WWE’s #1 most wanted star, but they weren’t able to ink a deal with The Cleaner. All four members of The Elite are sticking around AEW. That doesn’t mean that all of the issues are behind them.

The exact length of The Elite’s new deals is still being kept as a secret. It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Kip Sabian, and members of the Dark Order inked new deals, and they were three-year contracts.

“Kip Sabian, Evil Uno, John Silver and Alex Reynolds have also signed new three-year deals.”

We will have to see if Tony Khan has any special plans for Kip Sabian at this point. He spent a year on the shelf, walking around with a cardboard box on his head in the process. All that work in the crowd might have done him some favors with TK.

On the other hand, Evil Uno, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds are not going anywhere either. The members of the Dark Order will obviously stick around, but it’s unknown if their team will last their 3-year deals or not.

What’s your take on AEW locking down new talent? Do you think they need to focus on recruiting new stars instead? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!
