Cody Rhodes came back to WWE at WrestleMania 38 last year and wasted no time in making an impact after defeating Seth Rollins in his return match. Rhodes is one of the biggest names in Vince McMahon’s company right now. That said, it appears some believe Rhodes cuts the best promos in pro wrestling right now.
The American Nightmare immediately began feuding with Brock Lesnar after WrestleMania 39. They both have one win over each order and will now battle it out in their trilogy match at SummerSlam.
Ever since he returned to WWE, Cody Rhodes has been given a lot of time to cut promos and he never fails to look his absolute best while doing so. Naturally, fans feel a connection with The American Nightmare.
While speaking to Bill Apter, Cody Rhodes’ sister Teil Runnels talked about The American Nightmare’s promo skills ans stated that she believes Rhodes cuts the best promos in pro wrestling right now.
“I think a lot of that’s Eddie Graham,” Runnels stated. “I think being so well spoken and being eloquent, that’s a genuine part of Cody. He’s a reader. He’s a really smart guy, and I think that all of that works, and his promo now is just really on a different level. He’s, to me, the best promo in the business right now, and it’s not close.”
Cody Rhodes has clearly not forgotten his feud with Roman Reigns, but he has to deal with The Beast Incarnate at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event next month. It remains to be seen how the match will turn out.
