John Cena was the face of WWE for more than a decade and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. He has seen a lot of changes not only in WWE but the pro wrestling landscape in general. He was part of Total Divas and it appears Teddy Long believes Cena’s persona in the show was exaggerated.

The 16-time World Champion was part of the show when he was in a relationship with Nikki Bella. It gave a glimpse into John Cena’s personal life and how he is outside the squared circle.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s The Wrestling Time Machine, host Mac Davis mentioned he was not a big fan of John Cena on the reality shows. Teddy Long then stated that he believes John Cena’s persona in the show was exaggerated.

We gotta look at it this way too. It’s TV. So some of it there could be what the producers wanted or whoever was doing the show. They may have wanted him (John Cena) to have that suit and portray the person he was returning on TV, or it could have been the real him, or you might have seen the real side.

John Cena also returned during the WWE Money In The Bank Premium Live event. We will have to wait and see when The Leader of Cenation will return to WWE television once again.
