LA Knight has a ton of momentum with him in WWE right now. His merchandise is selling well, and fans all over are yelling: “YEAH!” now, it appears that Kevin Nash is still not a huge fan.
Although LA Knight has experienced a surge in popularity among WWE fans, he also faced criticism from Kevin Nash. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer called LA Knight out for ripping off The Rock.
During an episode of his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash extended his critique of LA Knight, addressing not only his current gimmick but also his overall journey in the wrestling business.
“There’s so many people who agree that LA is doing The Rock/Austin. I mean, the guy’s been in the business for like 10 years — why didn’t he get over anywhere else? If you’re not over in three years, it’s probably just not gonna happen.”
LA Knight’s star will continue to rise in WWE, and there is little doubting that. Fans are behind him to the point where he is now a babyface after making a sharp transition from his previous heel status. Obviously, something is working for him in WWE.
WWE has plans for LA Knight, but they might not make every fan happy. Whether he wins a big title or not, LA Knight is still enjoying quite a wave of popularity, and all that hard work as Eli Drake and Max Dupri before this point really paid off.
