Ric Flair is back with Wendy Barlow — and The Nature Boy is acting like he knew damn well she’d come crawling back eventually.
Flair confirmed the reunion on August 9, posting a photo of himself with Barlow and immediately rubbing a little salt in the wound over their breakup. There was no soft launch, no vague relationship update and no pretending the past couple of years didn’t happen. Flair came right out and said he knew she’d return.
“Told you. It was only a matter of time until you came running back!!”
Flair didn’t spend the entire post taking a victory lap. He also gave Wendy credit for being the person who has taken better care of him than anyone else, something that carries some weight considering she was by his side through his serious health scare in 2017.
“At least I know I am in good hands because you have always taken the best care of me out of anyone in the whole world.”
Then Flair went full Flair. He joked that Wendy finally realized there is only one Ric Flair, threw James Bond into the mix and made it clear the relationship is back on in every sense.
“She finally figured out there is only one Ric Flair and one James Bond, and currently Ric Flair is available for any kind of action. Let’s see if Wendy still has little LEG!”
These two have been doing the break-up-and-make-up dance for years. Flair and Barlow first knew each other through WCW, where she appeared as Fifi the Maid during his “Flair for the Gold” segments. They became a couple years later, got engaged in 2016 and held a wedding ceremony in 2018, although they later clarified that they were never legally married.
Flair announced their first public split in January 2022, but that didn’t stick. They got back together later that year before separating again in September 2024 after more than a decade together. Flair said at the time that their schedules and separate projects had made the relationship difficult, while still giving Wendy plenty of credit for everything she had done for him.
Now here they are again. Wendy is back, Flair is gloating about calling it from the start, and The Nature Boy is treating the reconciliation like another win on his record. Ric Flair and Wendy Barlow have already broken up, gotten back together, broken up again and now reunited one more time. If nothing else, Flair clearly isn’t wasting the opportunity to remind everyone that he believed Wendy would eventually find her way back.
