MJF is the current AEW World Champion and truly considers himself the best professional wrestler on the planet right now. He rarely wrestles, which makes each of his matches feel special. MJF is in for a major match at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II event, where he will be squaring off against Hiroshi Tanahashi. That said, it appears Stokely Hathaway has paid Tanahashi to break MJF’s legs at the event.

With the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II event set to take place on June 25th, Tony Khan has made sure to make it the most stacked event this year. That’s exactly why he booked MJF to defend his AEW World Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi at the event.

In case you forgot, MJF was also part of The Firm alongside Stokely Hathaway, Big Bill, Ethan Page, Lee Moriarty, and the Gunns, as they helped MJF win the Casino Ladder match last year. However, their alliance was short-lived as MJF was eventually put through a table due to numerous disagreements.

Ahead of MJF’s match against Hiroshi Tanahashi, Stokely Hathaway took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself alongside The Ace, as Hathaway revealed he paid Tanahashi $75 to break MJF’s legs at the event.

I slipped bro $75 to break MJF’s legs. God is good!

We will have to wait and see how MJF will fare against the Ace of New Japan Pro Wrestling. While it is highly likely MJF will win the match, fans are nonetheless looking forward to the bout.
