Ryback had a mediocre run as part of the first season of NXT back in 2010, but eventually gained a lot of momentum after leaving The Nexus and becoming a singles star. While he won championship gold in WWE, it didn’t help him in the long run as Ryback was eventually released. Now it appears that Booker T really doesn’t think Ryback should ever wrestle again.

Long after his WWE release, Ryback essentially made it his life’s purpose to go after Vince McMahon and his company for a variety of reasons. He was also in contention with WWE over his own name for quite a few years.

Ryback claimed at the very end of last year that WWE gave up trademarking his name. Ryback then further claimed earlier this month that WWE will finally give him rights to his name. Right after getting his trademark, Ryback decided to put Vince McMahon on notice.

In case you forgot, Ryback demeaned WWE titles and called them mere props. Ryback even recently stated that he will return to wrestling soon, but fans just want him to retire. While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Ryback returning to pro wrestling. Booker T made it clear that he believes Ryback should never come back to wrestling, especially after all of his terrible comments over the years.

“But I have been hearing a lot of news, kind of like little chirps. I wouldn’t say news, just chirps about Ryback man. Ryback is trying to, you know, throw his name out there. I saw you posted a photo with you know like a silhouette of him in the background with the AW caption over it. You know, I mean All Elite caption over it. You know. So it seemed like he tried in the lobby to get back in this business and you think Ryback ever get back in man. Do you think the fans want to see Ryback? So what? So why would he get back here? Well, he might take a chance on it. I just wonder. Well, then it just went away. Any independent shows or anything like that?

I remember Ryback doing this WWE work. One who only did WWE work came up in that system. I swear this dude talks like he’s been in the business for 100 years and worked at every base level. And I’m serious. I’m just saying I don’t know how difficult it was in the ring or anything like that. I don’t know how I’ve heard guys, you know, say that you know this, that wasn’t mad about them. But personally, I have no personal knowledge. But when Ryback left the company and went out on this world tour to bash everything about wrestling, even to the point where he said the titles aren’t real and now you want to try to get back in it, Guys like that, man. Just go home. Just go home.”

Ryback also recently hinted at making his debut in AEW, but fans really don’t want to see that either. Regardless, Ryback is unlikely to ever stop talking about WWE one way or the other and fans have accepted that now.

What’s your view on what Booker T said? Do you think Ryback should stay away from pro wrestling? Let us know in the comments!
