RVD is definitely one of the most technically-gifted pro wrestlers to have ever competed in the pro wrestling world. The icon has competed in several promotions such as ECW, WCW, WWE, and IMPACT Wrestling during his career which has lasted over thirty years. That being said, it appears that RVD made a major claim about Paul Heyman recently.

Mr. Monday Night became a fan of the pro wrestling world in the 80s and realized he wanted to do it all his life. In fact, RVD was also instructed during the early days of his career to say that he was actually related to Jean-Claude Van Damme.

The WWE Hall Of Famer was certainly the biggest name in Paul Heyman’s ECW in the late 90s. While he was a massive star, it appears that even RVD wasn’t paid a lot of money by Paul Heyman.

While speaking with Steve Fall of Ten Count, RVD was asked about Paul Heyman owing him money back in the day. RVD claimed that Paul Heyman owed him around $150k, if not more.

“Although he was taking care of me pretty good, it still felt like the longer I was there, the deeper hole I was digging for myself. And so, that’s why eventually I was like, ‘Look, I’m not going to be getting paid this and another type of company is going to be around much longer.’ So, when I left I think it was just before their last show if I’m not mistaken, but the very loose number though was 150 Grand.”

RVD is clearly in excellent shape and is ready to make his in-ring return whenever he feels like it. RVD also had an interesting response to having one final pro wrestling run. We’ll have to wait and see where RVD will end up wrestling and likely retiring afterwards.

What’s your view on what RVD said? Are you surprised Paul Heyman owed him so much money? Let us know in the comments!
