AEW was making plans for CM Punk to be part of their new Collision show. Then they made that announcement without Punk’s name being involved at all. This came as a huge surprise, because AEW was preparing to let everyone know that CM Punk was coming back. Then things changed in a big way.

Since the AEW Collision story broke, CM Punk has lashed out online at “clickbait” articles. He also insulted obsessed pro wrestling fans while telling them to go “touch grass.”

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that MJF was actually placed over CM Punk on that poster. It seems that the original advertisement didn’t include the AEW World Champion.

MJF was put on the poster in the position that Punk was going to be in. So, that was to fill out the poster, and the rest of the people were in the positions that they were supposed to be.

We will have to see if AEW and CM Punk can make this situation work. The problem stems from Ace Steel, who was fired after Brawl Out when he bit Kenny Omega. It was said that AEW would hire Steel back, but he won’t be allowed in the buildings. This caused the issue with CM Punk.

AEW Collision’s announcement did not include CM Punk as many expected it to. That brought up big question about his current status with the company, and it appears that things might have fallen out again. Keep checking back with Ringside News for the latest updates on this ongoing situation.
